چکیده
We study moduli stabilization in Calabi-Yau orientifold compactifications of type IIB string theory with O3- and O7-planes. consider a three-fold Hodge number $h^{2,1}=50$ stabilize all axio-dilaton complex-structure by three-form fluxes. This is challenging task, especially for large moduli-space dimensions. To address this question we develop an algorithm to generate $10^5$ flux vacua small $N_{\rm flux}$. Based on recent results Crin\`o et al. estimate the bound imposed tadpole-cancellation condition as flux}\leq \mathcal O(10^3)$, however, smallest obtain our search order flux}=\mathcal O(10^{4})$. implies, particular, that solutions F-term equations data set tadpole conjecture satisfied.

Moduli Stabilization in Toroidal Type IIB Orientifolds
We discuss the first step in the moduli stabilization program a la KKLT for a general class of resolved toroidal type IIB orientifolds. In particular, we discuss their geometry, the topology of the divisors relevant for the D3–brane instantons which can contribute to the superpotential, and some non–trivial aspects of the orientifold action.
متن کاملModuli Stabilization in Chiral Type IIB Orientifold Models with Fluxes
We consider Type IIB orientifold models on Calabi-Yau spaces with three-form G-flux turned on. These fluxes freeze some of the complex structure moduli and the complex dilaton via an F-term scalar potential. By introducing pairs of D9-D9 branes with abelian magnetic fluxes it is possible to freeze also some of the Kähler moduli via a D-term potential. Moreover, such magnetic fluxes in general l...
متن کاملModuli Stabilization in the Heterotic/IIB Discretuum
We consider supersymmetric compactifications of type IIB and weakly coupled heterotic string-theory in the presence of G resp. H-flux and various nonperturbative effects. We point out that non-perturbative effects change the Hodge structure of the allowed fluxes in type IIB significantly. In the heterotic case it is known that, in contrast to the potential read off from dimensional reduction, t...
متن کاملType Iib Orientifolds with Discrete Torsion
Orientifold compactifications of the type IIB superstring circumvent the problem that the type I theory does not produce a chiral spectrum when compactified on a Calabi-Yau threefold with standard embedding of the gauge degrees of freedom. Independently of this discrete torsion (DT) was introduced as a phase factor related to the B-field, allowed by modular invariance in orbifold compactificati...
متن کاملA New Mechanism of Kähler Moduli Stabilization in Type IIB Theory
We study the scalar potential in supersymmetric (orientifolded) Calabi Yau flux compactifications of Type IIB theory. We present a new mechanism to stabilize all closed string moduli at leading order in α ′ by consistently introducing fluxes. As usual we consider the dilaton and the complex structure moduli stabilized by turning on three-form fluxes that couple to the F-part of the scalar poten...
